Festival of Friendship 2018

REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR FESTIVAL OF FRIENDSHIP – 31^st OCTOBER 2018

The deadline is fast approaching. So let’s all get our entries in and raise the Oshwal flag once more.

It will be a fun day out for the whole family with triathlon in the morning, then the march past. Track and field will follow, ending with the traditional games. There will be food stalls full of scrumptious food. For children there may be a kid’s zone full of fun activities.

This time the individual triathlon distances cater for everyone – categories are under 10, under 14, open and over 40. Teams of three are also allowed, but will need a mix 2:1. Teams can be under 14 or over 14.

Track events are 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 1500m and 5000m. Relays of 100m and 200m also require a mixed team 2:2, so just email if you are interested in the relays and we shall pair you up and also indicate it on the form when you register.

Field events are High Jump, Long Jump and Triple Jump. Categories are under 10, under 14, open and over 40.

Traditional events are always fun to watch, but much more fun to participate in. Oshwals need to show their wild side here.

1. a)    Kabbadi – need 7 adult male members.
2. b)    Kho –9 members – male team. 9 members – female team.
3. c)    Shake – passing through the other team to reach the end. 4 members – mixed 2:2
4. d)    Marbles – 4 members – mixed 2:2
5. e)    7 stones – 4 members – mixed 2:2
6. f)    Dodgeball – 8 members – mixed 4:4

The last 4 will be good for a whole family which can include children over 6 years and also a group of friends who enjoy a challenge. In case you are individual who is interested please e-mail your name and what you are interested in – we will try and allocate you in a team.
